Ingredients
Milk – Use any kind of milk that you like. The thicker the milk the better.
Cocoa powder – This will make the chocolate tea.
Tapioca balls – Any type of boba pearls whether flavored or not will work perfectly fine. The best is the quick cooking tapioca pearls for your convenience.
Sugar – any type of sweetener will work too like agave or honey.
Chocolate boba milk tea
The following is what you will need to make this chocolate boba milk tea;
- ½ cup quick-cooking tapioca pearls also known as boba pearls or tapioca balls
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder and 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoon sugar to coat the boba pearls
- 3 to 4 cups of hot boiling water to cook the tapioca pearls

- Sieve – to drain water from the tapioca pearls
- Glass or mug – to drink the tea
- Pan – to cook the tapioca pearls
- Straw – large enough for the boba pearls to pass through
How to make chocolate boba milk tea
- To cook the tapioca pearls, boil hot water in a pan and add the pearls{make sure the water full covers all the pearls}
- Let the tapioca pearls simmer in the boiling water for 5 minutes and the reduce the heat and cover with a lid and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and strain the water through a sieve and immediately coat the pearls in sugar or a brown sugar syrup for boba.
- In a mug add cocoa powder, sugar, milk and hot water and stir.
- To serve, add the tapioca pearls into the chocolate tea and enjoy.

- If you want to serve this drink cold, use cold water and plenty ice.
- Make sure to coat the boba pearls in sugar immediately after cooking so that they do not stick together.
