    What is Egg Suzette?

    Egg suzette is baked potato served with a poached egg and topping ingredients like cheese and chives.

    You can enjoy this amazing baked potato and poached eggs at any time of the day and especially for brunch.

    It’s original way of making is described by baking a potato, scooping out the flesh and serving it with spinach, a poached egg on top and then a little hollandaise sauce with some potatoes piped around the edges.

    Origin of Egg Suzette

    Egg suzette which simply is a baked potato and poached eggs and very commonly referred to as Lady Diana’s favorite dish. Even though is it not very clear how this dish came to be, it borrows its name from crepe suzette.

    • 3 baked potatoes
    • 3 tbsp butter
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 3 eggs
    • 1/2 cup grated cheese
    • 1/2 tbsp sour cream
    • 1/2 tbsp chopped chives
    • 1 tbsp crumbled bacon

    How to make egg suzette

    This is one of the be best egg suzette recipe east and quick to make.

    • Clean and bake 3 potatoes.
    • Take the potatoes and make a whole at the top, scooping out the potato flesh and place in a clean bowl.
    • Save the hollow potatoes for later.
    • Add butter, sour cream, chive, salt and bacon to the potato flesh and mix well.
    • Add small portions of this mixture back into the potato shell and place the raw egg on top of each.
    • Add the grated cheese on top and place in an oven for about 6 to 8 minutes on 350°F heat.
    • Serve and enjoy.
