How to make tofu scramble

  • Place a pan over medium heat and add butter and let it melt.
  • Add the garlic and let it cook for 1 minute.
  • Then add the block of tofu to the pan and crumble it with a fork or a potato masher.
  • Add the salt, onions and turmeric and let it cook for 5 minutes and serve.

  • Add a splash of broth of your choice to the tofu scramble to incorporate the ingredients better.
  • Use black salt to give the tofu an eggy taste
  • To give a creamier texture, add2 to 3 tablespoons of non dairy milk to the tofu.

Variations to this recipe

  • Add vegetables of your choice – you can also add baby spinach, leeks, bell pepper, diced tomatoes, green or red pepper at the same time you add the salt, onions and turmeric.
  • Serve with toppings of your choice – you can serve this tofu scramble with red chili flakes, hot sauce or avocado depending on what you like.
