Beef and Cheese Nachos are one of those recipes that never seem to last very long once they hit the table. Every time I make them for game day, movie night, or a casual family dinner, people immediately start reaching for them before I've even had a chance to set down the tray.
What makes these nachos so good is the combination of seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and crispy tortilla chips layered together in every bite. There’s no digging through the pan trying to find the toppings because everything is spread throughout the layers. The cheese melts into all the little corners of the chips while the beef adds plenty of savory flavor, creating a snack that feels substantial enough to be a meal.
I also love how easy they are to customize. Some days I keep them simple with just beef and cheese, while other times I pile them high with jalapeños, tomatoes, avocado, sour cream, and green onions. No matter how they're served, they're always one of the first things to disappear.
If you're looking for a crowd-pleasing recipe that's quick to make and guaranteed to satisfy hungry people, these Beef and Cheese Nachos are always a good idea.

How To Prepare Beef And Cheese Nachos
- Put a sauce pan on medium heat, add 1 tablespoon cooking oil, add the chopped onion, sauté the onion for one minute, then add the chopped tomato and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, garlic powder, ground cumin, onion powder, cayenne pepper, paprika powder, oregano, salt and black pepper powder and mix well. Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- Move the meat to the side of the pan to make a space at the center of the pan, add 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour and mix it with the juices to form a paste. Mix the meat together, add 1/2 cup of water, cover and cook for 5 minutes and then put aside.
How To Make Nacho Sauce
- Put a sauce pan on medium heat, add 2 table spoons of butter and let it melt. Add the all purpose flour, salt, cumin and paprika, whisk for 2 minutes.
- Add the jalapeno and half cup of milk as you continue whisking to avoid any lumps from forming. Add the remaining milk and continue whisking for another 2 minutes, reduce the heat to low and add half of the cheddar cheese, keep mixing until the cheese melts, then add the rest of the cheese, mix until it melts.
- Put half of the tortilla chips on a serving plater, add half of the sauce on top of the chips spreading evenly, then spread the meat evenly. Add another layer the remaining chips, beef and cheese sauce followed by lettuce and the jalapenos. Top up with sauce and serve while still hot.
