One day i decides to make Creamy Tiramisu at home because it always seemed like one of those desserts that looked complicated and impossible to pull off. After finally trying it myself, I realized it’s actually much simpler than it looks. Most of the work is layering everything together and then letting the fridge do the rest.
The coffee-soaked ladyfingers become soft and rich while the mascarpone filling stays creamy and light. Once it chills, everything blends together into one of those desserts that somehow tastes even better the next day. I’ve made this for holidays, dinner parties, birthdays, and honestly random weekends when I wanted a dessert that felt a little special. If you already enjoy recipes like Chocolate Cherry Trifle, Red Velvet Cake or Raspberry Cupcakes, this creamy tiramisu fits perfectly into that homemade dessert rotation.
Why You Will Love This Creamy Tiramisu
What I love most about this recipe is the texture. The creamy mascarpone layers and soft coffee-soaked ladyfingers work perfectly together.
The dessert feels rich without being overly heavy, which honestly makes it hard to stop after one serving.
Another thing I like is that you make it ahead of time, so there is no last-minute stress before serving.
It’s also a great dessert for gatherings because it serves a crowd easily.
What You Will Need For Creamy Tiramisu
A large mixing bowl works best for making the mascarpone filling smooth and creamy.
You’ll also need an electric mixer to whip the cream and combine the filling properly.
A shallow bowl helps with quickly dipping the ladyfingers into the coffee.
A 9×13-inch baking dish works really well for creating even layers.
Ingredients Needed
For The Filling
- 16 ounces mascarpone cheese
- , softened
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For The Layers
- 2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
How To Make The Tiramisu
In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
Add the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract.
Mix until smooth and creamy.
Pour the cooled coffee into a shallow bowl.
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee. Do not soak them too long.
Arrange half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
Slice and serve chilled.
I usually make this the night before because honestly the flavor and texture are so much better after sitting overnight. This creamy tiramisu also goes really well with Strawberry Sweet Iced Tea, Lemon Vanilla Iced Tea or even a simple cup of coffee.
Tips For Creamy Tiramisu
Do not leave the ladyfingers in the coffee too long or they can become overly soft.
Full-fat mascarpone gives the best texture and flavor.
Chilling overnight honestly makes a huge difference in how the layers set.
Dust the cocoa powder right before serving for the freshest appearance.
