Hummus Chickpea Dip

Ingredients

Hummus Chickpea Dip

2 tbsp. dried chickpeas

2 tbsp. lemon juice

½ sesame seeds

4 tsp. olive oil

1 tsp. garlic paste

¼ ground black pepper

Salt to taste

Hummus Chickpea Dip preparation method

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight. Boil them in a pressure cooker until cooked.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan. Add sesame seeds and toast, shaking frequently until fragrant but not brown. Remove from heat and cool.
  3. Place toasted sesame seeds and ½ tablespoon olive oil in the grinder or blender and grind to a paste.
  4. Add the chickpeas, lemon juice and garlic. Blend again until smooth.
  5. Season with the salt and pepper.
  6. Spoon the hummus in the center of a large platter. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil. Serve chilled
