Ingredients For Making Orange Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 cups of all-purpose wheat flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. instant yeast
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cups warm milk
- 50 g melted butter
- 1 egg
- 2 oranges zest removed
For The Filling
- 60 g melted butter
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp. orange zest
For The Orange Glaze
- 3 tbsp. powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp. orange juice
- 2 tbsp. butter
How To Prepare Orange Cinnamon Rolls
- Take a baking tray about, 15 by 13 inches, put a parchment paper at the bottom, put aside.
- Take a mixing bowl, add the warm milk, egg, melted butter and orange zest mix together. Add the flour, yeast and salt to the wet ingredients knead the dough for 6 to 8 minutes until it is soft. Cover and let it rise for one hour or until it has doubled in size.
- Take a mixing bowl, add the soft butter, cinnamon powder, brown sugar and orange zest and mix together until soft.
- Roll the dough on a flat surface into a rectangle to about 15 to 20 inches, spread the cinnamon and orange mixture evenly over the dough. Cut into rolls of about 3 inches thick.
- Arrange the rolls on the baking tray, cover and let rise for 40 minutes or until has risen and doubled in size. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Take a mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar, orange juice and butter, ix together until smooth, drizzle over the warm rolls. Serve while still hot with a cap of hot tea, coffee, vanilla latte or even a glass of fresh juice.
