Shepherd’s Pie is a meal made with minced lamb or beef and topped with a layer of creamy mashed potatoes. I have made this with minced beef. Shepherd’s Pie is a traditional British and Ireland dish, that was developed as a fugal dish that would use the left over roast meat and mixed with vegetables.
It was common among the shepherds who were herders. Shepherd’s pie is a comfort food that is filling, affordable and very nutritious. It is an ideal meal meal for those who do not have time for making complicated meals that take long. It is also very suitable for winning children.
