Sloppy Joes is a sandwich cooked with ground beef and is cooked in a sweet-savory sauce. It has its origin in America and is popular as it an easy, quick meal to make.

Ingredients For Making Sloppy Joes

• 500 g ground beef
• 6 Buns
• 200 g tomato sauce
• 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
• 1 tbsp. yellow mustard
• 3 tsp. brown sugar
• 2 tsp. cayenne powder
• 1 tsp. garlic powder
• 1 green bell pepper
• 1/2 yellow onion
• 1 tbsp. crushed garlic
• 2 tbsp. cooking oil

How To Prepare Sloppy Joes

1. Put a sauce pan on medium heat, add the oil and then add the onion and sauté it for 2 minutes, add the crushed garlic, green bell pepper, mix well, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
2. Add the ground beef , mix together and cook for 10 minutes or until its no longer pink.
3. Add the tomato sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, brown sugar, chilli powder, garlic powder and crushed garlic, stir well and cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
4. Take the buns and cut in halves, put spoonful of the meat mixture on the lower half of the bun and cover with the other half of the bun.
5. Repeat the process for the rest of the buns. You can serve with a sauce of your choice, with some fries on the side or some salad.
