Chicken Lazone is one of those dinners I make when I want something creamy and filling but still easy. It sounds fancy, but it’s really just chicken, simple spices, and a rich cream sauce. That’s it.

The first time I made Chicken Lazone, I couldn’t believe how something so simple could taste so good. It’s one pan, basic pantry spices, and it comes together fast. Perfect for busy nights when you still want a warm, homemade meal.

Why You’ll Love Chicken Lazone

  • Made with simple pantry spices
  • Creamy, rich sauce with very little effort
  • Ready in about 30 minutes
  • Great over pasta or rice
  • Feels special but is very easy

I love serving Chicken Lazone over spaghetti because the sauce coats every bite.

What You Will Need for Chicken Lazone

Chicken Breasts: Boneless, skinless chicken breasts work best here. Slice them in half lengthwise to make thinner pieces so they cook quickly and evenly. You can also use chicken tenders.

Heavy Cream: This is what makes the sauce rich and creamy. If you want it a little lighter, you can use half-and-half, but the sauce won’t be quite as thick.

Butter: Butter adds flavor and helps cook the chicken while building the base of the sauce.

Spices: A simple mix of salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, and black pepper gives Chicken Lazone its signature flavor. It’s bold but not too spicy.

Pasta (Optional): Spaghetti or any pasta you like works great for serving. It soaks up all that creamy sauce.

Tips before you start:

  • Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise so they cook evenly.
  • Don’t let the cream boil too hard. A gentle simmer keeps it smooth.
  • Taste the sauce before serving and adjust salt if needed.

How to Make Chicken Lazone

To make Chicken Lazone, first In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, creole seasoning, and black pepper. Sprinkle this mix evenly over both sides of each chicken piece. Put the flour in a shallow dish and add a small pinch of salt. Stir or shake the flour to mix it. Press each chicken piece into the flour so it’s fully coated, then place it on a plate. Repeat with all the chicken.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and some oil. When the butter melts and the pan is hot, add the chicken. Cook each piece for about 4–5 minutes on each side (a little longer if the pieces are thick) until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should read 165ºF. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside on a plate.

Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the same skillet and let it melt.

Pour in the heavy cream and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the rest of the seasonings, leaving out the parsley, and whisk everything until smooth. Let the sauce warm up for about a minute, just until it starts to simmer. Taste and add more salt or pepper if needed.

Return the chicken to the pan and let it sit in the sauce for 1–2 minutes on low heat. This will thicken the sauce a little. Serve the chicken with the sauce spooned over the top, sprinkle with parsley, and enjoy it with spaghetti, rice, cauliflower rice, or fresh bread!
